DescriptionRed Collar Pet Foods is looking for a Reliability/Maintenance Technician to join our exciting new pet food business, located in San Bernardino, CA. Who is Red Collar? The primary objective is to perform preventative measures and maintenance techniques that ensure proper operation of site equipment. We focus on improving our processes and implementing continuous improvement ideas. Our technicians are highly engaged and support the application and transfer of knowledge plant wide. Knowledge and Experience--- Must be fluid in electrical troubleshooting and knowledge. Experience in 3-Phase 480VAC preferred.--- Knowledge of controls systems not limited to: PLCs, Safety Circuits, VFDs, Contactors, Relays, and Motor Control Systems. ARC Flash training preferred.--- Experience working with AC/DC motors. Troubleshooting, replacement, testing, and applying preventative maintenance measures to eliminate breakdowns.--- Experience in preventative maintenance principles and able to apply knowledge to operational site equipment.--- Ability to effectively troubleshoot all types of mechanical systems. Including but not limited to pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and plumbing.--- Experience in providing preventative maintenance measures on boilers, water softeners, steam systems, and packaging equipment.--- Posses the skills needed to effectively troubleshoot and identify equipment issues. Experience in Root-Cause-Analysis a plus.--- Can demonstrate the skills needed to read and understand equipment drawings and schematics.--- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment that are compliant with companies GMP and Food Safety policies.--- Computer knowledge and experience with maintenance management systems and work order processes.--- Previous knowledge and practice in LOTO (Lock-Out-Tag-Out) procedures and methods.--- Job occasionally requires operation of Forklift, Ariel lifts and/or Boom lifts.
