Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding Specialist Educator.
Key Responsibilities
Guide the orientation and ongoing education of healthcare
professionals in coding and documentation processes
Conduct and analyze periodic audits to ensure accuracy in coding
practices and provide reeducation as necessary
Serve as a knowledge resource for coding systems, regulations, and
third-party reimbursement requirements
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School Diploma or GED with completion of college-level coding
courses in IDC, CPT4, and HCPCS
Minimum of 2 years of experience in coding required
AHIMA (CCS, CCS-P, RHIT or RHIA) or AAPC Coding Credential required
upon hire
Successful completion of a medical terminology course preferred
Previous experience with EPIC and knowledge of insurance billing
preferred
