Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is looking for an experienced certified Epic Analyst/Builder to join their amazing team for the journey to a new, world-class Electronic Health Record (EHR), Epic Systems Corp. (Epic). Epic Analyst II is the journey level of the Epic Analyst series. This position performs the moderately complex systems analysis, applications programming, and serves as a resource for implementing technical solutions to meet customer business needs and function in a support role on major new development project teams. Epic Analyst II will be assigned to the following modules:

Conditions of Employment

Background: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation and verification of employment history and education.

Certification: Incumbentmust obtain EPIC certification in every assigned module within 30 days of hire. The Clinical Informatics Department in collaboration with the Epic implementation executive team will reserve its right to extend beyond 30 days if the core training class schedule falls outside the 30-day hiring period. If certification is not obtained after 30 days of hire or the dedicated extended time allowance, the incumbent's employment will be terminated.

Training:Training will be provided online and administered at an ARMC and/or County training facility. Applicants will be required to report to the worksite for in-class training for up to 8 hours a daywhile adhering to COVID-19 safety/social distancing protocols.

License: A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance is required at time of hire.

Travel:Applicantmay need to travel to Verona, Wisconsin by airplane for training on an as needed basis. Travel expenses will be paid for by the County of San Bernardino.

Commitment: Incumbents must be willing to commit to this project during the implementation of this system which is expected to last 2 years.

Minimum Requirements

Must meet all of the following:

Certification: Must have current Epic Certification in one or more modules obtained through Epic Systems Corporation.

Education: Thirty (30) semester (45 qtr) units in information technology, business administration or a closely related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).


Must meet one of the following options in addition to having the required Epic Certification:

Option 1: 1 year as an Epic Analyst I with ARMC.

Option 2: 1 year of experience on an Epic implementation team OR 1 year providing user support with Epic.

Substitution: One (1) additional year of experience in either option may substitute forthe required education. There is no substitution for the required Certification.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be certified in multiple modules and can identify and resolve issues during the implementation phase.
