The Product Manager - Health Products and Solutions is responsible for the overall development of new key capabilities within the Alight Health product set. This role defines the why, when and what of the new health products and solutions that we build, leading cross-functional teams from idea inception through launch. The Product Director deeply understands the end customer, market dynamics, and Alight capabilities in order to effectively bridge health strategy into execution/development decisions. This role is focused primarily on midmarket health solutions.

This is a virtual / remote / work-from-home opportunity available anywhere in the US or Canada.

Overall Product Management & Strategy

  • Analyzes market and stakeholder needs and performs strategic evaluations for new products and solutions within Health & benefits administration portfolio.
  • Identifies and defines new product needs and enhancements to existing solution which contribute to overall health growth initiatives
  • Assesses market competition through research and analysis, identifying areas of need relative to competitors' products
  • Contributes to product sales strategy by working with stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities
  • Stays deeply connected to end customers and market, developing unique, data-driven perspectives and expertise on needs and solutions
  • Conducts market research and analysis to provide insights for senior management on key market trends, product needs
  • Contributes to overall strategic roadmap prioritization, including assessing stakeholder needs, business case development, and ROI determination

Project & Initiative Leadership

  • Sets goals, metrics and measures of success for new products
  • Defines build, buy, partner decisions for new capabilities as appropriate
  • Owns business scope and product requirements for newly identified products & features. Prioritizes features while balancing needs of customers and stakeholders.
  • Injects 'voice of the customer' into the development process, obtained via market research, focus groups, client feedback, usability studies and other methods.
  • Works with technology development team to ensure product development meets defined needs via ongoing product requirements, show and tells, and timeline development
  • Leads gate reviews and product governance during development process to assess and report on project scope and progress
  • Performs detailed product review of final developed solution to ensure original scope and needs are achieved
  • Introduces and markets new products to clients and business by developing time-integrated plans with deployment, sales and marketing
  • Determines product pricing, sales forecasting, and go-to-market strategy in partnership with sales, marketing, client management and operations
  • Partners with deployment leader to define overall deployment/rollout strategy for clients and colleagues - including beta or pilot testing if appropriate
  • Leads and executes product rollout including sales, client executive and colleague training
  • Measures and acts on results and learnings from new product rollouts


  • Ideally, 7-10 years experience in a similar role
  • Health/Benefits administration products expertise
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to influence others
  • Experience with end to end product execution
