Human Resource Management Benefits (Full-time, Day Shift) - Our mission is to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ. The Benefits Specialist-Retirement is responsible for supporting various defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plan programs. Provides full scope defined benefit retirement plan processing. Provides customer counseling regarding eligibility, benefits and submission requirements for estimates, applications and distributions. Audits and submits contribution transmittal files. Assesses participate vesting and service credit. Serves as the liaison between employees, retirees and beneficiaries and the third-party plan administrators and record keepers.Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum two years related experience preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of Degree. Working competency with PeopleSoft preferred. Maintains knowledge of the defined benefit (BD) and defined contribution (DC) programs, policies, rules and regulations. Able to keyboard 40 wpm. Must have strong verbal, written communications and customer service skills. Able to read, write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision.
