recruiting for Supervising Child Support Specialists. Each year our

Supervising Child Support Specialists supervise Child Support
Specialists, Child Support Assistants and support staff in locating
parents, conducting interviews, and applying holistic case
management principles in looking at all aspects of a child support
case to ensure we are meeting the needs of the familywhen
establishing and enforcing child support payments. Supervising
Child Support Specialists also coordinate, review, and evaluate the
work of staff, and handle the most complex child support cases.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Travel:Travel throughout the County and State may be required. At
the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and
proof of automobile liability insurance may be required for the
individual providing the transportation.
Background: Applicants must pass a background investigation,
including DOJ/FBI clearance, prior to appointment.
Work Assignment: Applicants must be willing to accept assignment,
as needed, to any of the DCSS offices, which are located in Loma
Linda, Victorville, Ontario, and Child Support Court in San
EDUCATION: Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed
college coursework from an accredited college or universityin
Public/Business Administration, Administration of Justice,
Behavioral/Social Science, English, Math, Humanities or closely
related field. Transcripts must be submitted with the application
if the candidate does not possess an Associate's degree or higher
in one of the qualifying fields of study mentioned above.
EXPERIENCE:Three (3) years of Child Support Specialistexperience in
a county agency overseen by a State Department of Child Support
The ideal candidate is a person who fosters teamwork; has excellent
organizational and time management skills; utilizes critical
thinking and problem solving; finds innovative ways to achieve the
department's goals; is able to effectively plan, prioritize,
execute work, and has excellent communications
skills.Leadershipskillsare highly desirable.
