ResponsibilitiesThe Speech Therapy Supervisor plans, develops,
implements and integrates the delivery of speech therapy services
in both the outpatient and/or acute settings for patients requiring
care. The Speech Therapy Supervisor role includes collaborating
with the Manager of Rehabilitation and Senior Hospital Leadership
with regards to human, fiscal, and other resources, business and
personnel development, compliance with regulatory and professional
standards, and fostering collaborative relationships with other
service providers within the medical center. The Speech Therapy
Supervisor provides guidance and training to clinical and support
team members and will act as a liaison with other departments. This
position requires the full understanding and active participation
in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is
expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent
with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine
Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the
quality improvement plan/activities.
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in speech therapy
- Preferred/Desired: 2 years of experience in a leadership role
such as (Therapy Advancement Program, Lead Therapist)
- Master's Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an
educational institution approved by the Speech-Language Pathology
and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board. Upon annual
appraisal must demonstrate participation in external continuing
- Current and active licensure in the state of California in
Speech Therapy, Certification through American
Speech-Language-Association (ASHA) for Certificate of Clinical
Competence (CCC's). Must maintain current Cardiopulmonary
