ResponsibilitiesThe Radiographer I, under the general supervision
of the Department of Medical Imaging Management and under the
direction of the Radiologist, performs high quality diagnostic
imaging exams and other duties as assigned within the California
State and national license scope of practice. Responsible for
operating complex imaging equipment, both mobile and stationary, in
various patient care settings for purposes of obtaining quality
diagnostic images in at least one modality. Inputs and retrieves
data from the Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology
Information System (RIS) and Picture Archival and Communication
System (PACS). Works assigned shifts within the department
performing any and all job assignments in an accurate and timely
manner. This position requires the full understanding and active
participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of
San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate
behavior consistent with the Core Values of Community Hospital of
- Two (2) years experience in an acute care hospital setting,
performing a variety of general diagnostic procedures utilizing
ionizing radiation is preferred.
Experiencewith digital imaging systems, PACS, and basic health care
informatics is desired.
- Graduate from an accredited JRCERT Medical Radiography School
and have passed the entry level radiography board examination from
