The ideal candidate must have experience in the following areas: Sophisticated law firm experience on complex corporate or M&A matters; Managing complex M&A projects and timelines, interacting with subject matter experts and junior resources, preparing equity and asset purchase agreements and ancillary documentation, and conducting and summarizing legal due diligence in M&A transactions with an emphasis on private equity transactions and private target M&A. Must have significant attention to detail and ability to interact successfully with clients, investment bankers, commercial lenders, and other advisors. The Southern California office opened seven years ago. Thirteen qualified attorneys round out their legal practice. Areas of practice served are diverse. A number of their practice disciplines consist of mergers-acquisitions, securities, leasing, mortgage work, joint ventures, corporate, and real estate financing. Attorneys support several non-profit organizations namely the Inner City Law Center, Public Counsel as well as the Western Law Center for Disability Rights and Women at Risk. Attorneys were named in a well-known law publication.Additional Skills: The candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills, superior analytical skills, and the ability to manage client engagements.
