Read more at Location: USA - Fontana, San Bernardino Ave Job Posting Title: HR Assistant - 27453 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Under general supervision, provides general administrative support to a department or group of professionals or management * Will review, verify, and process payroll. Responsibilities include but not limited to auditing work hours and punches, processing routine reports, exporting payroll, processing all time off requests and Timecard exception forms. * Verifies information in Time Force, Employee Central and Econometrix for accuracy and makes appropriate updates and corrections when needed. * Maintains the Attendance Tracker and distributes counseling notices to supervisors in a timely and accurate manner. * Recordkeeping responsibilities including, but not limited to, timely maintenance of Employee Personnel files. * Supports team recruiting efforts, including compiling new employee orientation packets * Processes routine and ad hoc reports, as needed. * Within established guidelines, makes independent decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling work * Collects and compiles moderately complex and confidential data and information. May coordinate with other departments to complete assignments * Completes work with a limited degree of supervision. Possesses the ability to make judgments based on practice and previous experience. This requires the ability to assess the validity and applicability of previous or similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances that are not covered by procedures. Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data * Possesses good understanding of work routines and procedures in own job. The technical procedures for this level are well defined. Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision. Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions * Will perform other human resource administrative functions including, but not limited to, updating site communication boards. * Maintains employment records including current address information, phone lists, and emergency contact information. OTHER DUTIES * Performs other duties as required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/A MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience * Completion of high school Diploma or GED * 2 years' experience in a clerical role * 1 year experience in Human Resources role * Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations None SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Computer Skills * Proficiency in MS Office applications Language Skills * English (reading, writing, verbal) * Spanish (reading, writing, verbal) Mathematical Skills Intermediate Other Skills * Effective communication skills (all modes) in both English and Spanish * Strong organizational, planning & time management skills * Strong reading and math skills with focused attention to detail PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * University/College Degree DSV is an equal employment opportunity employer.
