Job Description:
Position Summary: The Clinician will be responsible for a
variety of services including assessments, treatment planning,
participant education, documentation, and therapy sessions.
Essential Duties: Maintain clinical supervision, including review
of student (student/participant) files, and have the ability to
perform initial and/or ongoing student (student/participant)
assessments. Provide mental health structured therapeutic services.
Provide gender-responsive, trauma-informed, structured treatment
services, including implementation of trauma-informed curriculum.
Provide individual, family, and group counseling Provide
specialized classes and workshops relevant to the population
(including Domestic Violence, Incest Survivors, Family
Relationships, other topics as needed). Work with the Managing
Director to develop and maintain the program culture. Ensure the
program has family-focused services and is trauma-informed.
Integrate the assessed and stated goals of student (participants)
work in coordination with the ARC/JCOD staff in determining
continuum of care services for student (participants) including
educational and vocational planning. Participate in case
conferences. Responsible for all aspects of medical, dental, mental
health related appointments, including making appointments,
follow-up, arranging transportation and prescriptions. Minimum
Qualifications: Experience / Knowledge: Registered with the Board
of Behavioral Science or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Another
professional licensed by the State of California to provide mental
health services in California. AND Minimum of two (2) years of
experience in providing trauma-informed services preferably to
women. Certification: Within six (6) weeks of hire, obtain First
Aid and CPR certification AND pass a physical examination and
tuberculosis test from a health professional. ADA Information:
Physical Requirements: Faculty occasionally adjusts or moves
objects up to 25 lbs. in all directions. Remains in a stationary
position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeats
motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Moves
about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
Required to communicate verbally and in written form. Uses all
types of vision, such as close vision, distance vision, color
vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception, to complete daily
tasks. Assesses the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work
assigned. Occasionally required to bend, stretch, reach or stoop.
Required to wear comfortable and office appropriate clothes. Mental
Demands: Ability to change direction as priorities shift. Ability
to thrive in environments that require the ability to adapt to
changing circumstances. Ability to cope with occasionally difficult
or temperamental students/participants and faculty/staff. Ability
to cope with mental and emotional stress related to the position.
Work Conditions: Generally, in an indoor setting. Will be working
with computers and phones frequently. Sedentary work that primarily
involves sitting/standing. Occasionally work that includes moving
objects up to 50 lbs. Environmental Conditions: The noise level in
the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud. The
temperature in the work environment is usually moderate to cool but
can be cold. Travel: Frequently travels locally and operates motor
vehicles or heavy equipment. Frequent moves about to accomplish
tasks or moving from one worksite to another. $28 - $30 an hour
