Responsibilities Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging for patient diagnosis and treatment Operate and maintain radiology equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to assess imaging needs and provide accurate results Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and hospital protocols Maintain proper documentation and records in accordance with state and federal regulations Provide compassionate care and clear instructions to patients during procedures Escorting patients from lobby, perform x-rays, uploads images to patients EMR chart, and task Physician to do reading Responsible for completing weekly phantom testing. Responsible for recording radiographic time for each patient. Monitors and updates dosimetry badges monthly. Inspect all lead aprons and collars for defects every six months. Participates in training employees in equipment operation, patient movement and quality measures. Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested. Maintains patient confidentiality. Participates in department quality improvement activities, as well as clinic safety, infection control and hazardous materials programs. Qualifications Active ARRT certification required* California Radiologic Technologist License required* BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required* Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology preferred Minimum 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist preferred
