  • Job Details
  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced ER nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH and CA License.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum 2 years experience
    • Trauma experience preferred
    • Okay with first time travelers
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 12 hr shifts -must be flexible
      • Every other weekend, Fri, Sat, Sun is counted as the weekend, could be every weekend depending on staffing
      • Holidays: Will work them into perm staff rotation- mostly needed on holidays, so expect to work the holidays.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: STEMI receiving facility, Cardiac, Sepsis, ETOH, Stroke, DKA, all types of patients
        • Breaking care into 3 parts: fast track, treat and anticipate disposition, and acute care
          • Additional Details
          • Unit: ER
          • Fast track: Yes- fast track is ran out of a separate area, typically travelers will be in main ER.
          • No InPatient Pediatric nor BH unit; Nights, Friday-Sunday
