Responsibilities The Venous Access Nurse is the professional nurse
responsible for the insertion of PICC (peripherally inserted
central catheters) lines, in addition to the day to day support and
resource person to the nursing staff in relation to the management
of PICC lines. The Venous Access Nurse is responsible for the
coordination of services as related to PICC lines and all central
lines within the guidelines of hospital policy and procedures. This
position requires the full understanding and active participation
in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino.
It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior
consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support
Community Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the goals
and direction of the quality improvement, process, and activities.
