Apple Valley Eyewear is an optometrist owned eyecare practice serving the general population in our community. We are extremely proud of the reputation that our friendly and hard working team has built with our patients. Our patient population consists of a large variety of demographics but a high percentage are patients between the ages of 25-60. We do provide routine eye exams, diabetic eye exams and contact lens checks as well as Lasik recommendations. We provide a laid back and welcoming environment so that our patients and staff feel at home while they're here. Our team of multiple technicians, opticians, front desk admins who all support our optometrist is committed to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of each and every patient. Each patient is first seen by one of our amazing technicians for all pre-testing, pictures and check in tasks prior to the full exam given by our doctors. Our team does use OfficeMate as our EMR to keep track of patient records. Our practice has 3 exam lanes that are fully stocked and all computerized and have devices like auto refractors & OCT phoropters. Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities We are searching for a talented OD to join our knowledgeable and friendly team! Here you'll use your practical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset. This is a part-time position for 2 days per week - Wednesday & Thursday 10am-7pm Your regular duties will include: Perform comprehensive eye exams Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease Prescribe corrective lenses Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree Valid California state license to practice optometry Dry eye experience is a plus! Compensation We are offering a daily compensation rate starting at $400 with potential productivity bonuses as well for this part-time opportunity.
