This position entails 3 clinical days and 2 administration days per week. An ideal candidate is a leader who works well in a collaborative environment, has supervision experience, values evidence-based practice, and values patient centered care. Required Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
• Current California medical license
• Completed an accredited residency program
• Current DEA certificate
• Board certified in Family Medicine
• Current CPR certification
• 3-5 years of experience Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in patients of all ages
  • Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
  • Perform therapeutic procedures and educate patients on their treatment plans
  • Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
  • Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to policy
  • Serve as a supervisor for mid-level providers and as a preceptor for medical students as assigned
  • Provides leadership and medical expertise in the development of medical policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Reviews all quality of care issues and oversees the development and implementation of quality of care corrective action plans
  • Assures proper supervision and mentoring of nurse practitioners, mental health clinicians, and physician assistants and new MDs/DOs
  • Provides comprehensive, ongoing and patient oriented primary care
