Job Description:
This is a 100% On-site position located in Beautiful San Diego,
CA Key Job Functions: The Director of Development, Corporations
leads Workshops for Warriors’ (WFW) fundraising pillar focused on
corporate giving, sponsorships, and corporate foundations. This
role builds and stewards high-value relationships with
manufacturing, defense, and technology industry partners whose
missions align with rebuilding America’s advanced manufacturing
workforce through veteran training and employment. This position
oversees strategy, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for
all corporate-related giving, including naming opportunities,
program sponsorships, capital campaign investments, and
cause-marketing partnerships. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop
and execute a multi-year strategy to grow revenue from corporate
partners and corporate foundations. Align corporate fundraising
goals with WFW’s broader capital campaign, earned income
initiatives, and workforce partnerships. Collaborate with program,
marketing, and government relations teams to design partnership
packages that integrate philanthropy, workforce development, and
public affairs. Forecast, track, and report on corporate revenue
targets, ROI, and partner engagement metrics. Manage a portfolio of
national and regional corporate partners, from mid-level sponsors
to Fortune 500 companies. Oversee cultivation and solicitation of
corporate gifts, including sponsorships, capital investments, and
multi-year grants from corporate foundations. Collaborate with CDO
and CEO to engage C-suite executives in high-level partnerships and
events. Lead development of compelling proposals, impact reports,
and stewardship deliverables tailored to corporate interests.
Partner with the Events Manager to design sponsorship packages for
the Forging Futures Gala, patriotic happy hours, and industry
events. Align corporate recognition and benefits with campaign
branding and donor tiers. Identify opportunities for employee
engagement, volunteerism, and corporate ambassador initiatives.
Work closely with Development Operations to ensure accurate
Salesforce tracking, reporting, and moves management. Partner with
Marketing to ensure corporate visibility and brand alignment across
communications and media, and cause marketing opportunities. Ensure
all corporate benefits and deliverables from sponsorships or
funding are met. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications &
Work Experience: To perform this job successfully, the candidate
must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily (with or

Bachelor's Degree or any combination of education and experience
which would provide an equivalent level of experience. A minimum of
5 years of progressive fundraising or development experience in a
non-profit workforce. Veteran focused or manufacturing industry
preferred. Proven track record of securing corporate sponsorships,
partnerships or major gifts. Experience managing a multi-million
dollar fundraising pipeline or portfolio. Experience with
Salesforce. Strong knowledge of grant writing and project
management. Ability to handle sensitive information with
discretion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong working ability of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word,
PowerPoint, etc.) Very people oriented, supports a positive working
environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Notes Position Details: This is a full-time salaried (exempt)
position (40 hours/week). Pay: This pay does not include any
opportunity for incentive compensation and is only reflective of
the base pay for this position. The range of pay for this
California-based position is $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 annually.
