Job Description:
Job Description Determines methods and sequence of operations,
assembles complete, makes locations, installs and connects entire
aircraft electrical and electronic systems and components, makes
the initial layouts, fabricates, assembles and/or modifies, and
makes continuity checks of aircraft electrical and electronic
assemblies such as main junction boxes, radio and radar racks, main
control switch panels, and instrument and radio panels, where
complete information is not readily available, operational
sequences vary or change considerably, and tooling is inadequate or
not provided; lays out for, and locates to all ship reference
lines, electrical and electronic units, wiring, conduit, clips,
brackets, etc.; makes initial and subsequent installations,
including those specified by design or modification changes; makes
continuity checks as required, and corrects malfunctioning
disclosed by such checks; constructs wire form boards from raw
stock and incorporates changes in same, working to information
developed by others; disassembles electrical and electronic units,
installs, deletes or relocates switches, relays, solenoids, circuit
breakers, terminal straps, instruments, etc., adds, deletes,
reroutes and hooks up wiring and flex cables; reassembles
completely and makes continuity checks to insure proper assembly;
collaborates with responsible personnel in the building,
modification and checkout of the previously mentioned electrical
and electronic units. Performs pickup and rework of the level of
difficulty of the operations described above. Works with authorized
liaison personnel as necessary to determine satisfactory assembly
and installation sequence; points out need for tooling, part, or
installation corrections. Installs and connects electrical and
electronic systems and components that actuate such facilities and
mechanisms as ship lighting, fire detector and air conditioning
units, power plants, autopilot, vericam and sonobouy units.
Performs structural work and makes relocations incidental to
electrical and electronic installations as required. Fabricates and
installs supporting structural components. Fabricates such items as
plugs, cables, wire harnesses, and structural details, solders as
required. Improvises shop aids to facilitate assembly and
installation. NOTE: This job incorporates duties previously
described in the following classifications: 3963 Electrical and
Electronic Installer 3983 Electrical Bench Mechanic Ability to
obtain and maintain Company licenses, certifications, and training
as required for assigned tasks. Must Be Able to Work Any Shift
Basic Qualifications Must possess two years electrical
bench/installation experience. Ability to read and interpret
schematics, illustrations, and wiring diagrams Desired skills
Crimping, soldering IPC certified Cable routing Lockheed Martin is

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be
performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work
Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of
alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our
employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day
work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules
provide employees with additional time away from the office and are

"The base range for this position in California is $19.89 - 39.28.
