the duties of this position at the full working level. If this
vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a
lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to
perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this
position.* Reviews and interprets federal legislation, rules,
standards, and regulations pertaining to accounting and financial
management.* Analyzes and evaluates agency-wide accounting
operations, policies, procedures, and systems for compliance with
standards and internal controls.* Designs, implements, and assesses
internal control processes and systems pertaining to agency-wide
accounting and financial management activities.* Prepares,
analyzes, interprets, reviews, and presents accounting data,
reports, and financial statements. Provides high-level technical
support to the financial statement audit.HelpRequirementsConditions
of Employment* Telework Eligible Positions: Telework eligible
positions do not guarantee telework. Employees must meet and
sustain IRS telework eligibility requirements (e.g., reporting at
least twice a pay period to your assigned Post of Duty (POD)) and
supervisor's approval to participate in the IRS Telework Program.
Employees must also be within a 200-mile radius of their official
assigned post-of-duty (POD) while in a telework status. As a

Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of
identification from the Form I-9. Federal law requires verification

conditional upon classification and/or audit of federal tax

travel.QualificationsFederal experience is not required. The
experience may have been gained in the public sector, private
sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to
full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis.To

per week, on your resume.You must meet the following requirements
by the closing date of this announcement:BASIC REQUIREMENT :To
qualify for this position at any grade level you must meet the
following basic requirements:A degree in accounting; or a degree in
a related field such as business administration, finance, or public
administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester
hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of
credit in business law.ORCombination of education and experience:
at least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent
combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and
training that provided professional accounting knowledge and must
also include one of the following:* Twenty-four semester hours in
accounting or auditing courses of appropriate type and quality.
This can include up to 6 hours of business law;* A certificate as
Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor,
obtained through written examination;* Completion of the
requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in
accounting or auditing, e.g., 15 semester hours provided that you
can demonstrate that you have successfully worked at the
full-performance level in accounting, auditing, or a related field,
e.g., valuation engineering or financial institution examining;
and/or have the education, training, and experience that fully
meets the specified requirements.In addition to meeting the basic
requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet
the qualification requirements listed below:SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS-14 LEVEL: To be eligible for this position at this grade level,
you must meet the following requirements. In addition to the basic
requirements, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience
at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13
grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this
position includes: Preparing financial statements, analyzing and
researching accounting related issues, interpreting and presenting
accounting data; using maintaining, and updating accounting
systems; using accounting information to devise and recommend
process improvements to administrative processes. designing,
implementing, and assessing internal control processes; Your
experience requires a working knowledge of federal government
accounting practices (e.g., Federal Accounting Standards Advisory
Board (FASAB), U.S. Standard Ledger), equivalent public sector
practices (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), etc.)
and working with the financial and management programs, operations,
and practices of federal agencies, corporate and/or other
organizations.ANDMEET TIME IN GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT: You must
meet applicable TIG requirements to be considered eligible. To meet
TIG for positions above the GS-05 grade level, you must have served
at least one year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade (or
equivalent) in the normal line of progression for the position you
are applying to. Advancement to positions up to GS-05 is permitted
if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the
lowest grade held within the preceding 52 weeks.ANDTIME AFTER
COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: By the closing date (or if this is an open
continuous announcement, by the cut-off date) specified in this job
announcement, current civilian employees must have completed at
least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest
