Payroll Specialist.
Position Summary
The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing and
processing all facets of multi-state weekly and bi-weekly
exempt/nonexempt payroll for over 3,500 employees.
The incumbent will rely on experience and judgment to plan and
accomplish goals and serve as an organizational payroll adviser to
management and executive teams in developing and implementing
process improvement as the company continues to grow.
The ideal Candidate will be dependable, flexible, organized, able
to multitask and meet deadlines, so if you have previous Senior
Payroll Specialist experience and work well in a fast-paced

Position Responsibilities
(This is not a Supervisory Position)
+ Process multi-state weekly and bi-weekly exempt/nonexempt payroll
for over 3,500 employees.
+ Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits, and tax
procedures in order to recommend changes to company policies
resulting in best practices.
+ Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll and time &
attendance by liaising information to HR Representatives and
managers on payroll matters, tax issues, and withholdings.
+ Set up new states in payroll system that meet payroll related
state requirements.
+ Assists with payroll related actions during acquisitions.
+ Initiate and control efforts and procedures to maintain data
integrity.
+ Identify key and/or recurring issues, and work to resolve through
training, configuration and/or policy and procedural solutions.
+ Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing
information.
+ Payroll Adjustments (retro pay calculations).
+ Run timecard reports to verify over time and exceptions.
+ Review new hires & terminations in system for accuracy.
+ Calculate and process manual check.
+ Process monthly commissions and bonuses.
+ Process payroll, workers comp and 401K audits.
+ Review and approve monthly ADP bills.
+ Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, and
deductions.
+ ADP Custom reporting/analysis of miscellaneous reports for
accounting, HR and/or operations.
+ Work with accounting to reconcile payroll; GLI interface
knowledge.
+ Process W2 forms.
+ Timekeeping interface knowledge.
+ Preparation of templates for import (CSV delimited).
+ Will perform other tasks as needed.
Requirements: Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Qualifications
+ Requires 6-8 years' progressive experience processing multi-state
weekly and bi-weekly exempt/nonexempt payroll in large
organization, (1500 employees or more).
+ Requires 3-4 years specifically in the role of Sr. Payroll
Administrator or Payroll Manager.
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting or a related
field a plus.
+ Strong Math and basic accounting principals.
+ Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects related to
resolving priority user issues.
+ Strong Math and basic understanding of accounting principals.
+ Required Technical Skills
+ ADP workforce now V.18
+ ADP Reporting
+ Advanced Excel Knowledge
+ HRIS system
+ eTime timekeeping preferred
